M²: The Institute for Experiential Jewish Education’s mission is to promote a proud and inspired community of Jewish educators who possess the personal and professional capacities to help learners find meaning and relevance in Jewish life. We run a broad range of training programs for educators and provide educational consulting services to organizations. The educators and clients we support are primarily in North America, though M² has a growing presence in Israel and Europe. M²’s work is generously funded primarily from the US-based Jewish philanthropic world with some grants coming from Israel and Europe. With offices in New York, Chicago, and Israel, we are a nimble, cutting edge, and incredibly warm team that is guided by our five organizational values: generosity, humility, rigor, innovation, and integrity.
M² seeks to learn, grow, share, and make change in the field of experiential Jewish education. To help drive our growth, realize our mission, and manage our expansion, we are looking to hire an experienced Development Manager with superb writing skills.
As lead manager for grants, foundation relations, and individual donor cultivation, this person will research and write grant proposals and reports, identify new funding prospects, support the cultivation and stewardship of funders, manage donor communication, oversee related data management, and facilitate cross organizational collaboration as it relates to these tasks. As we begin to implement our 2024-2028 strategic plan, this team member joins the organization at a pivotal juncture and has the opportunity to significantly impact the organization’s ability to achieve its objectives through the attainment of philanthropic support.
Based in our Jerusalem office, this is a full-time position. The Development Manager will work closely with the Jerusalem based CEO and report to the COO.
