Martine Fleishman, born in South Africa, immigrated to New York in 1986 with her husband, Stanley. Her lifelong love of Israel and commitment to Jewish education, social justice, and community engagement—rooted in her day school experience—have defined her leadership in Jewish life.
Martine is a past President of The Jewish Education Project and former Chair of UJA-Federation of New York’s Westchester Division. She currently serves as Co-Chair of UJA’s Capital Campaign, sits on its Jewish Life Department Cabinet, and is a member of the Executive Committee of The Jewish Agency for Israel. Martine also serves on the boards of OLAM, Repair the World, the Jewish Communal Fund, and the Westchester Jewish Council, and on the steering committee of Mosaic United. She is a member of the leadership council of Tikkun Olam Makers and of Adamah’s Council on Peoplehood and Planethood.
Outside her communal work, Martine enjoys family, travel, Jewish study, and entertaining.
