Reengage with Israel through the M² lens
Deep Dive Israel
In a time of diverse perspectives and heightened emotion around how to teach and talk about Israel, Deep Dive Israel offers alumni of the Senior Educators Cohort an opportunity to engage with Israel through M²’s signature educational approach.
As an educator, you continue to face new realities in how Israel is taught, understood, and experienced. Deep Dive Israel places your learning in a new context that challenges assumptions and strengthens your ability to lead Israel education with empathy, confidence, and purpose.

Deep Dive Israel is for SEC alumni living in North America who work full time as Jewish educators and address Israel in their work. We are aiming to assemble a group that spans cohorts, geographies, and sectors in the field.
At this stage, Deep Dive Israel is open to North American alumni, as the learning is tailored to the North American educational and communal landscape. We plan to expand future opportunities for alumni living outside of North America later in 2026.
Due to the highly subsidized nature of the program, financial aid is not available.
The seminar begins at noon on Monday, March 9, and ends at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. If you arrive early, M² will provide a hotel for the night of Sunday, March 8; any other extensions are at your own expense.
M² provides a travel stipend of up to $1,400. You may book your own flight and submit a receipt for reimbursement or use TravelPerk, M²’s partner travel agency. Please note that M² offices will be closed from December 21–January 4 and unable to assist with bookings during that time. Please keep in mind that flight prices may rise after January 4, but the travel stipend cannot exceed $1,400.
We hope to offer additional Deep Dives in 2026. Stay tuned!
Yes. You are welcome to extend your travel to Israel before or after the seminar but are responsible for any costs beyond the $1400 travel stipend.
The seminar is designed as a fully immersive experience with limited free time built into the schedule. If you would like to explore Israel beyond the program, we encourage you to extend your stay before or after the seminar. All sessions and activities during the week are mandatory.
As flights, accommodations, and program costs are secured in advance, the participation fee is nonrefundable.
You will share a Friday evening meal with M² alumni and educators and have the opportunity to attend synagogue services of your choice. Shabbat morning is yours to spend in a way that feels meaningful to you.
