Attendance and Participation
Is attendance at all 4 sessions required?
For course participants to maximally benefit from the course, attendance at all 4 sessions of the course is required. The sessions build upon one another and are designed to guide participants from theory towards application. This is best achieved by being present and participatory in each of the 4 sessions that make up the full course.
What if something comes up and I miss part of a session?
Participants should make every effort to be at all 4 sessions of the course. That said, we understand that life happens and things come up. To find out what you missed, check in with a peer or your Manager of Content Operations, Jess Zimmerman (jesszimmerman@bbyo.org). From there, together you will determine the best course of action for making up any content areas or workshop experiences you may have missed.
None of the dates work with my schedule! What do I do?
Fear not! We will roll out additional courses throughout the year. Be in touch with BBYO’s Manager of Content Operations, Jess Zimmerman (jesszimmerman@bbyo.org), or share your details with us directly at viainfo@ieje.org so we can keep you in the loop.
Do cameras need to be turned on?
Facilitators and peers want to see you! Please keep your camera on to nurture a learning environment that is present, engaged, and connected. Please also be sure to log on using a computer, not a phone or a tablet. We’ll be interacting with the screen, guidebook, and each other so a proper setup will help to best keep focused.
Will sessions be recorded?
Some sessions may be recorded though breakout rooms will not be. Session recordings will be available to participants on an as-needed basis.

Yay! (We think so, too 😊 ). Participation in this certification course is by invitation only to designated members of partner organizations.
