
Michael has spent more than 20 years growing and engaging audiences, first in journalism and then in nonprofit marketing, communications, and content strategy. His career spans small start ups and large legacy companies, much of it focused on education and the well-being of young people. He worked most recently at The Jed Foundation, a youth mental health nonprofit, and previously held positions at Teach For America and Parents magazine. He was the founding editor-in-chief of MyJewishLearning.com, and his writing on religion and spirituality has been published in The Boston Globe, The Dallas Morning News, Slate, Salon, The Jewish Week, and many other publications and websites.
Michael received a BA in English from Yale and a Master’s in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School. He lives in New York City with his wife, Stephanie, and three daughters.
